What
is TQE?
The
TQE Middle School Initiative Grant intended to
assist
faculty in improving their quality of teacher preparation for
the middle grades. This is accomplished through faculty
partnerships,
the use of technology in the TEP classroom,
increased opportunities for field experience, and educational
improvements in the middle grades curriculum. The focus of
this program is to promote excellence in middle school pre-service
teachers through improved curriculum, technology, and field
experiences.
The
TQE Middle Grades Partnership is a consortium made up of community
college faculty, university arts and science and education faculty,
and middle grades teachers. The focus of the partnership is
to co-create a content-rich, experience-based, standards-led
middle grades teacher preparation program.
The
design will embed improved teaching strategies, curriculum relevance,
quality of
clinical experiences, and alternative delivery methods for middle
grades teacher preparation. |
